From Linder on Preps Blog:

We’ve made our way to Waukon

December 12, 2008 by jtlinder

It appears as if this blog has been linked to one that’s all about Waukon girls’ basketball … and that’s cool.

The most recent Super Ten showed up there today.

If you’re a Northeast Iowa Conference girls’ basketball fan, this is a good place to visit. Find

It describes itself as “The Who, What, Where, Why, When and WIN in Waukon girls basketball.”

There’s a lot of WIN in Waukon these days. After a 9-12 season last year, the Indians are 5-0 after beating Oelwein last night.

And it’s only going to get better. All of the top players are juniors.

So 2010 could be a special season. Gene Klinge, if he stays healthy, probably will zip past Bob Mullen as the state’s winningest girls’ basketball coach. And the Indians, if they stay healthy, will be a legitimate 3A state-title threat.

Then again, the last time Waukon won it all, most of the key players were juniors.
