The Waukon Indians great season came to an end on Saturday night as they faced off vs the #1 ranked Crusaders in the title game.

The Indians got behind early but battled back and made it a 7 point game at halftime, trailing 37-30.

The second half showed the much experienced Crusaders pull away and finishe the game off by the score of 73-54.

Mary Halvorson finished the 3 game stretch with 69 points in the 3 games and was named to the 3A all tournament team.

Congratulations to a great season to all the Indian players and coaches. It was an extremely fun time to watch all these games and see all the success.

A special thanks to the 8 seniors who have put so much work in and will graduate this year. Mary Halvorson, Tatum Meyer, Leeta Sivesind, Leah Cooper, Logan Hjerleid, Keri Egan, Jordon Reiser and Carissa Berger.

Will have final season stats and some records that were broken later on. As well as some post season honors and a look to next season here in the future.

Good job Indians!! We are so proud of each of them. They are an inspiration to us all, especially to the younger girls who love the game also. I know my two eighth graders look up to these varsity players like they are goddesses walking the earth.
I want to thank you for writing this blog. I have it on my favorites list and have thoroughly enjoyed reading it throughout the Indian Girls season. My girls and I have followed the varsity girls season quite closely and have had a great time doing so. I loved to come back here and get a rerun of the game and get your perspective. I take my hat off to the girls who have worked so hard and played with heart and passion. And to you for writing with the same passion. Nice job! I hope you continue.
