Indians Dominate Cresco, Move on to Regional Semi Final

The Waukon Indians took on Cresco Wednesday night and were looking to extend their season. The Tribe decided as a team early on that they wanted to play at least one more game this season as they jumped on Cresco early and never looked back in a 63-36 victory.

One player in particular, a senior Kristyna Herman wanted to play more in a bad way. Herman was dominant in the paint from the get go scoring 15 points in the first half as the Cadets ran a diamond in one defense trying to take point gaurd Mullen Wacker out of the game. Herman’s partner in the post Alissa Smith also had a great game down low.

Herman exploded for 20 points and 10 rebounds. Wacker was held in check early but still finished with 16 points and 4 assists on the night. Smith finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds in a great effort as well.

Waukon moves on to face the Decorah Vikings in the Regional Semi final Saturday night in Waukon. Game time is 7pm, Decorah radio will be covering the game.
