Indians Dominate Oelwein in First NEIC Game

The Waukon Indians went on the start of a 3 game road trip and ended up playing a great defensive game defeating the Oelwein Huskies
by the score of 56-29 on Tuesday November 27th. In a back and forth first quarter with both teams trading baskets, Waukon took the lead on a 3 point play by Daneshia Snitker 11-10 and never looked back. Waukon trailed late in the first quarter 10-8 and then went on a 20-6 run to end the half with a 28-16 lead. The Tribe busted out with a 10-2 run to start the 3rd quarter and put the game away.

Daneshia Snitker poured in a career high 33 points, pulling down 8 rebounds and swiping 5 steals to lead the Indians. Alyssa Collins played great defense on the Huskies talented center Nicole Burgin keeping her in check, while scoring 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds along with 3 steals and 3 blocked shots. The team together played great defense and were aware of helping at all times agains the Huskies game plan. More stats and scoring to come tomorrow.
